“Statoil Latvija” is owned by leading Scandinavian energy company “Statoil Hydro ASA” which operates in over 30 countries and is the leading natural gas supplier in Europe as well as third largest crude oil trader in the world.
One of “Statoil Latvija” priorities since mid-1990’s has been promotion of safety on roads. To accomplish this goal the company has organized first aid training for its employees. For years it educates children and adults about safe behavior on roads.
One of the guiding principles of “Statoil Latvija” is to ensure zero harm to people and environment. To achieve the goal the company has developed a special program which is at heart of company’s philosophy – “Environment. Health. Safety”.
“Statoil Latvija” efforts in promoting safety on roads won international recognition in 2006. The European Commission presented award of excellence to “Statoil Latvija” for innovative solutions in promotion safety on roads (“Excellence in Road Safety Award”).
